I live in Pennsylvania with my “groom” of 35 years, Gary, and we have two children—a daughter who is married and living in Virginia, and a son who lives in Miami, FL & is engaged to be married on June 12. I also “live” with three invisible illnesses, Ulcerative Colitis, Endometriosis, and Late Stage Lyme Disease. Each of our family members has at least one invisible illness. Although we have walked through many years of pain, struggle, and uncertainty, I believe and try to live by my life verse: “I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8).
I currently work full-time at an extension campus of Penn State University, Penn State Berks, as an Assistant in Human Resources. It’s a great place to work, and the students keep me young!
I love God, Jesus, my family, the beach, ministering and teaching with my husband, teaching fitness classes, sleeping, anything digital or technology, writing, and cherry pie—in that order.
My first published article and several devotionals appeared on the Rest Ministries web site (www.restministries.com), and I feel blessed that God is using my experiences to help others with invisible and chronic illnesses. If you live with a chronic illness or disease, if you know someone who does, or if you are a caregiver of someone with a chronic illness, I invite you to check out the Rest Ministries web site. You will be encouraged and blessed!
I have also been published at http://christiandevotions.us, The Quiet Hour, Power For Living, and Today’s Christian Woman Online.
This blog is where I am posting some writings, and welcome your comments and feedback.
Thanks for allowing me to share my heart…….
